Were you surprised that you won Newbie of the Year – EMEA? I was happily surprised! Starting with GC was my first experience in a home based job and the Newbie of the Year – EMEA Award gave me comfort in my decision to begin this journey with GC. I feel blessed to be a part of this company – a fantastic team of people spread throughout the world but somehow so close!

What are some of your hobbies? I am passionate about cooking, baking, and of course event planning. I have a blog where I share my recipes and inspirational mood board on different event themes and destinations. Feel free to check it out at https://squatwafflesntattoos.wordpress.com/.

Why do you do yoga every day? When you’re a workaholic like me, working at home can be challenging if you don’t set boundaries and take breaks. So I do yoga, followed by a workout every weekday, which helps me clear my mind and look at things from a different angle.

What made you decide to start taking Salsa dance lessons? I have always wanted to learn how to dance and now that I am living in the Caribbean, it seemed like a great time to learn a Latino dance. So I found an eight week Salsa & Bachata training, which I am absolutely loving!

How do you maintain your business as a trailing spouse who moves frequently? This is exactly why GC was the best decision I have ever made. My husband is an expatriate and we change countries often; working with GC allows me to keep working wherever I go without having to search for a new job every time. All I need is my laptop and phone, and I can work from anywhere!

What advice do you have for someone who relocates often to get “plugged” into a new community quickly? I think going to restaurants and looking for sports clubs/associations is the best way to network with people.
